That means Cubase was crashing last time (Cubase didn’t quit properly).
Perhaps it is because it is Cubase 13!
I have indentified the main issue. It was Nomad’s Drum Tools that was causing the shutdown crash. In fact it crashed C13 when deleting from the insert slot. I had to uninstall DT to remove it from the affected projects. After doing this the project did not crash and was now recorded on the proiect assistant.

Apparently according to Nomad support they have identified a crash connection with UAD when examples of both plugins are in a project…
