Hi,
C13, at first, did not want to connect Ins and Outs out the RME driver / Fireface 802 (freshest drivers/firmware).
Got it to connect to the Ins, eventually, by setting them up as “steinberg Asio”, then switching drivers. They then allowed me to re-connect Ins via Fireface driver.
Same with the Control Room Outputs…however, Monitor 2 and Phones 1 would not connect.
I see the FF Asio listed, and it’s available per-output, but I click on the it and nothing happens…won’t connect for some reason.
CR Outs:
It’s pretty strange behavior…
Funny thing is, all works fine in Nuendo 13
I have all the outputs needed, here, using the same driver, so you should be able to set your missing outputs as expected.
Could you make a screenshot of your Studio > Studio Setup> Audio System > ASIO Fireface USB panel ? I have these, on my end, using an UCX with an USB connection and I suspect that some of your outputs are missing in it or inactive for a reason :
EDITS :
- A screenshot of your TotalMix > Options > Channel Layout > Outputs panel could also help.
- Check also the WDM devices setting value in the driver Settings window, even if there shoudn’t be an issue, as it seems that Nuendo is recognizing all your outputs as expected. I say this, though, because I remember having had an issue in the past with Ins and Outs available, due to a too low value of it.
Thanks for the help.
Some new info: upon switching drivers in the Setup Panel, I am not able to connect the Mon2 or Phones to “any” drive now, indicating that it’s maybe a Cubase internal thing?
Also, starting in Safe Mode had no effect on this.
Here are the screenshot you requested.
Thanks again
Hi again,
The problem is that your first screnshot shows only the Inputs and it’s the outputs that are involved…
On the second screenshot, I see the WDM Devices setting with a value of 3. Again, I remember having had an issue with this seetting. FWIW, all my inputs/outputs here, are avilable with a value of 9, so I would suggest to set it at least to 12, as your unit has more connections than mine : from my experience, it seems that its value should be at least the same as the amount of inputs/outputs you are using with your unit, but the documentation isn’t very clear on the subject.
Let us know how things are going…
I don’t think changing the “WDM Devices” will help as mine Fireface 802 is set to “3” and all of my I/O works fine. Not sue what’s going on with yours…
Sigh…[insert self depricating expletives here]…for some reason I had the outputs set to Not Visible. So, working now…d’oh!
Thanks, Cubic13, I really couldn’t have done this without you proof-reading my setup.
Cheers
