C14/Groove Agent: Where to save .halpreset files?

In the lower area of the window of Groove Agent there are these items:

I can save my own hardware controller mapping saving a “.halpreset” file using the save button, but the problem is that I don’t know where to save it.

The default location that Cubase shows is the user folder in macOS.

I need to know where do I have to save the file to be visible later in the list of hardware controller mappings.

Thanks!

Help!! :grinning:

I’m on Windows where you can save them where the hell you like, via the Windows Save dialogue. It defaults to the Windows Documents folder.
Did you try to save them in your user folder, close the program and try to re-open them?

Your question does not seem to be related to Cubase but only to Groove Agent. Could you please change the tags of your topic from Cubase to Groove Agent so that your question appears in the correct forum?

I can also save the preset anywhere I want in macOS.

My question is where I have to save the preset for load it later from the menu list.

Saving the preset in my user folder doesn’t fix the issue.

Yes, I was thinking about posting it in Cubase or Groove Agent, and I chose Cubase because I thought the folders location is more related to Cubase.

But I was probably wrong… I will change it to GA now.

I have found the path!

The path for saving the .halpreset files for hardware controller mappings in the instrument view (screenshot of OP) in macOS is:

/Users//Documents/Steinberg/Groove Agent Common/GA Sub Presets/MIDI/Pad Trigger Notes/

The path for saving the .halpreset files for pattern groups in the pattern view is:

/Users//Documents/Steinberg/Groove Agent Common/GA Sub Presets/MIDI/Pattern Bank/
