All I did was update the Focusrite Control program from 1 to 2, and I lost audio in, just for C15. I have audio out, and Garageband and iRealPro record just fine. I tried a new .cpr and an existing one. I can see it selected in Audio Connection Input…
Anybody? I submitted a ticket to support a couple of days ago but no response. I have been dead in the water for 4 days now. and this Garage band transfer audio to C15 is getting really old. Definitely, it’s something in C15, not the interface or the Mac itself, that is the problem. And believe me, I have tried to make it work, and been through the settings a dozen times…
Are you saying you don’t have any signal coming into Cubase from the input, but you can still see the input channels in the MixConsole? The output from the same device is working fine in Cubase?
If I were having that issue, I would try starting Cubase with the interface disconnected, so it defaults to the built-in audio–then I’d connect the interface and switch over to it.
I guess you’ve already tried restarting your machine
I tried switching asio to built in, and back, but that didn’t work. I tried shutting all the way down, wait a minute, reboot, but that didn’t work. One of the odd things about the interface is I have to cycle it when I restart / reboot. The audio midi setup will not show it until I turn it off / on, and then it appears, then I select it as the I/O device. But, iRealPro and Garageband both see it as I/O, and I can record just fine, so it seems to be a C15 problem. Or I’m missing something… Yes I RTM
I didn’t check it when I upgraded the Focusrite software - I was fighting C15 Score to make some charts at the time, and audio out was working fine for that, so I just assumed record would too. And iRealPro and Garageband both recorded without a hitch..
C15 sees the interface, in and out, but just won’t record audio.
and the fix is in the OS settings. System Settings>Privacy & Security>Microphone?Cubase15. Turn on.
I have no idea why C15’s mic setting got switched off. I still have C13 and it’s mic setting is on.
Thanks to Focusrite for finding the issue. It’s neither a C15P setting or a Focusrite 2 setting..
