C15: : notation settings not retained

in score editor notation settings: whatever I do, either the cautionary accidental settings I make are reset to default values, or the note grouping.

I can’t get them both right at the same time. I make all the settings, it looks good, I close the score editor and reopen it, and things are wrong again.

I save the file, reopen it, wrong settings again.

also the ‘respect octave indicator’ gets reset every time.

I am on C15, Mac OS Sequoia, M3 processor.

I enclose a tiny cubase project, built from scratch, and some screen shots. Drives me crazy.

as I would like it to be:

after closing the score editor and re-opening it, cautionary accidentals are shown:

after turning cautionary accidentals off again:, note grouping is off.

seems I found a way out of this: the order of setting stuff in the notation settings dialog is vital: first set the ‘respect octave indicator’ in the cleff tab. then do the settings for note grouping and accidentals. then it’s ok.

if you change the ‘octave indicator’ setting after that, accidentals and note grouping get messed up again.

anyone recognizes this? I could then file this as a bug.

To me ‘respect octave indicator’ should be the default value, why would you want to change it? Better change the cleff then I guess?
