C15 Score change slash non pitched note heads to round pitched

I have a passage that has 4/4 non pitched slashed note heads. So I want to remove the last measure of the slashes, and replace them with an eighth note arpeggio run. But I can’t un- slash the note heads, despite using either “restore to default note head” or “default note head”. And the replacements are also non pitched.. I removed to un wanted slashed note head, so I got a blank measure, but that didn’t work. Neither did entering the pitches in piano roll / key edit.

It’s M15, the first measure of the first ending. And I did not put in the double bar between the first and second measures, either…

I can’t find the answer in the manual, and I can’t get help here. All I found was information on global not by selected passages… I was hoping to by now, but I have to finish the chart, so I’ll make the score in Muse Score.

If you’re still interested in figuring this out, maybe post the cpr?

The issue, for whatever reason, was the instrument assignment on the part. It was set to Bass, as in singer. Once I changed it to something else the notehead assignment problem ceased.

Yes, it’s weird that the track name “Bass” is interpreted as being a human singer, especially to those of us who don’t work with choir music.

now that is weird, but it worked. I would have never guessed.. Changing it to 5 string electric bass fixed that, but now everything is Off a couple of 8vas, and, not all of the notes got converted to round heads - only up to the end of the first repeat.. BUT, when I removed the extraneous rehearsal letters, some of that problem went away, and there is a mix of slash heads and round heads

I was able to correct the note heads in groups, without C15 changing the other note heads. I should have mentioned that changing from bass vocal to electric bass put the notes an 8va above the treble clef staff. And on this screen shot the "B"s should all be down an 8va. All is fixed now.
A note to Steinberg - many of the guys I know that are making pop band and jazz band charts have moved to Muse Score. I learned it to be able to work with them without having to translate to mxml. MS’s best feature is right click pop ups of commands, and commands for an edit grouped into one window. AND the window stays open when you are working. So it made changing note heads much simpler and quicker. It has its issues, of course but the work flow is better. I hope Steinberg will take a cue, pun intended..

To wrap –

I see where the problem began - with importing a midi file that had the tracks named. The Ten / Trp parts had no problems, but C15 saw “bass” as bass vocal…

Exactly.
