Strange. Here it was set to Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Left/Right arrow. I’m not sure why. I’d wrongly assumed this was the default setting. But I’ve just reset all the key commands to the default settings and they now work as follows:
Lower zone - change tab (mixer, editor, sampler, chords) key command:
Ctrl + Alt + Left/Right arrow
Make sure the arrange/main page is focused then go to the Zones folder.
However, if you have a mix console focused there is an inconsistency
Where it becomes a bit confusing for myself since I use multiple video monitors, is when you have a mix console open. Then the KC to open what should be the “left zone” in a mix console is Mixer>show hide channel selector. It would seem to me to be consistent the Zones tab should apply to mix consoles, all the editors…or whatever you have focused?
And as mentioned to move from one tab to another use Ctr+Alt+left/right arrow. This also applies to the 3 tabs, visibility, zones, and history in the mix consoles.
Great post! I wonder if it shouldn’t be kept near the top of the list of postings for a while and renamed to include all new features not advertised by Steinberg. I will update in January but from the pictures it looks like they added “undo/redo” buttons in the top left which will be quite useful for those of us who favour the mouse over keyboard. Is this correct? Is this a new feature (obviously not hidden)?
don’t give them any ideas. Next they’ll remove the “Record” button into a page buried in preferences and re-introduce it to the main scrreen in C10 for an upgrade fee…
on a serious note I must say this threads list is most impressive. Im just bewildered that $teinberg don’t promote this list themselves as part of the C9 release it would have made a big difference to the upgrades of C9 if you ask me
Oh yes!!! this is a good one. Only the other week I was going through loads of old projects and was thinking how bad it was for what i was trying to do. Now this is perfect.
Record Enable/Monitor for Link Group Settings
There is a new option for “Record Enable/Monitor” at the bottom of the Link Group Settings
window in the MixConsole.
•
Enabled: Record Enable / Monitor states are controlled for all the tracks at once in the
Link Group
•
Disabled: You can Record Enable / Monitor each channel independently, just as with
all the other settings
