I can change the duration of a caesura in the Properties pane and that is great; but I don’t understand what the values mean. The manual does not address this (at least not in the caesura section).
The default is gap duration of 50%. 50% of what? Thanks.

Thank you, Lillie. My search must have taken me to a different part of the manual, or I just read it wrong, which is not impossible.
Of course, even if the value was seemingly arbitrary, it wouldn’t take long to test some values until you got a feel for which numbers worked for the effects that you want.

In this specific case, 90% gave me the pause I needed between sections; but, if I understand correctly, a value of 150 in 4/4 would create a pause equal to a dotted quarter, etc.
By the way, thanks to Dorico/Steinberg for providing this function. It adds a lot of realism and human feel…
