Calibration

I need to calibrate the MOTU with C6 and WL6
Seems like simple enough…
sine wave test tone…MOTU “0” should match C6
Input and out put “0” .
Is this correct?
Thanks
Terry

Depends on what scale the MOTU uses…

“0” what?

Test tone, what level? where from?

Which Motu?

Motu 0dBFS (output) should equal Cubase 0dBFS (Input)

A 0dBFS sine (input mono channel panned centre) will read -3dBFS at the master buss meters due to the pan law.

Make sure you do not have any Motu mix effects or eq switched on and all internal Motu levels are set to unity.

The analogue side will be calibrated at a different level e.g 0VU could be -18dBFS (depends on the manufacturer)

[“0” unity in the MOTU

I have a analog syn I can prg a sine wave at 1 hz
the level is one thing I need to know

Which Motu?
828 MK111

I do bout pan law and have mine set there -3db

Thanks
it is a start in the right direction
