Can cubase mediabay read wav comment metadata?

Hello folks,

I use the comment tag in wav files because it is really useful across different apps, like dj library software and media players apps. in Cubase mediabay I do not see anything getting populated from that field. I checked things like ‘Comment’ and ‘BWF Description’, but they stay empty. So I am really not sure if mediabay just doesnt really read useful embedded metadata from wav files, or if I am looking in the wrong place in the mediabay.

The reason I ask is that this metadata can be edited and viewed across different apps, but I feel like Cubase has no proper way to read//edit it. Correct me if I am wrong though, in case someone knows how to make it work.

Hi Martin , thank you for checking. I tried that too, but it stays empty.

I tested again with a new wav file and added the comment Comment_1. The top and middle images are from other apps I used to test, and they both read it correctly. The bottom image is Cubase, and that is the one where the Comment field is empty. btw , I also rescanned the disk in mediabay, so that is why I am still unsure if mediabay is really eading wav comment field properly.
