obviously this instrument is tacet those bars but the chord symbols are breaking the rests.
I really don’t want to manually hide these chords in a 300 page score for every instrument.
In short, with the way you have chord symbols set to show for this Player, no.
Depending on the quantities of chords needed, you could set this Player to only show chord symbols in Chord Symbol or Slash Regions. You can just add these when necessary and you won’t need to hide any chords.
So, you can hide them where needed, or add in Chord Symbol Regions where needed.
Yeah I thought so.
I really need a way to toggle chords to hide if there’s no notes or slashes in the bar. Would save me from literally hours of hiding chords. Feels like a very Dorico thing to have but alas.
I’m sure finding a solution to this type of issue is on the to-do list; lot’s of users have brought up similar topics.
One “solution” I would really love is to be able to select a chord, Ctrl/Cmd+select another chord, and then Select More to select all the chords in between. This is currently possible with many, many other types of objects.
Do not even get me started on selecting chord symbols. Selecting anything at all really is so hard. changing the key of a section of a flow is like playing operation.
Also I just learned that the forums won’t let you post in all caps.
Are there any in particular?
when transposing an entire section of a flow, but not the whole flow, let’s say the first 300 measures of a 600 measure flow, how do I easily tell it to select everything in that boundary and transpose it? if I do it by clicking, it doesn’t get the chord symbols
Use the System Track:
Just make sure Signposts are visible so that it can select any hidden items.
Thank goodness for that!
