I can’t buy my PC back until lockdown is over so now that I’ve purchased 10.5 I thought it would be easy to start downloading it onto my phone. I’ve tried downloading the Steinberg downloader. exe file but my android system can’t open it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t want to run the program on my android, just to download it so it’ll be ready to copy to my PC ready for installation when I get my PC back, as its such a big file.

Why would it? Activation codes are typically received by email with your order confirmation (at least that was the case last time I ordered from the Steinberg Shop - mid 2019).
Why don’t you just download it from here?
I’m assuming your phone has an internet browser and enough storage …

You have to have the USB-eLicenser, (blue dongle) the activation code is only to activate the license on a USB-eLicenser.
After that the license is on the USB-eLicenser.
