Can I have both Wavelab Pro 12 and 13 on the same computer?

This might not make sense to some, but I am just learning WL 12, and can get WL 13 in the grace period. I am thinking 13 will be even more complicated. But I might need a feature it has too. Cubase allows this. What about Wavelab?

Yes. WaveLab Pro 12 & 13 are totally separate apps with their own Preferences folder. So, while you can choose to have WaveLab Pro 13 import your WaveLab 12 Settings & Preferences so it’s set up how you want already, they are technically two separate apps with no direct interaction or relation.

One thing to note is that if you start a montage in WaveLab 13, or open a WaveLab 12 montage in WaveLab 13 and save it there, you can’t open it in WaveLab 12 anymore.

Other than that, you should be fine to ease into WaveLab 13 if you need to.

WaveLab 13 isn’t really more complicated, unless you want it to be by doing ATMOS projects.

Otherwise, WaveLab 13 is very similar to WaveLab 12 for stereo audio work with some nice improvements in my opinion.

Thanks Justin!

One more question. If I decided to remove WL 12 after installing WL13, will there be any special concerns?

No. This can be done anytime.
