Can someone provide a list of included content with Halion 7?

It says ‘35GB content’. Such as…?

Did you have a look at the comparison list on the website? It shows all the included components

Does this help?

There is too much to list but:

  1. Halion 3-6 content is about 5000+ presets at least.
  2. New in Halion 7 is the FM Lab instrument which if you grab some free packs of FM sysex formatted DX7 presets, would get you thousands of FM sounds. It comes with 320 presets, and about 700 layers, so somewhere around 1000 factory FM sounds.
  3. TALES is new in Halion 7 also. A nice textural guitars+pads split library.
  4. The synths, organs, pianos, etc, and basic orchestral utility sounds are not worlds best but they’re pretty good. Pick any category in the list and there are hundreds of presets. there are about 1000 synth pad presets. There are over 300 brass presets. For almost any category of sound you can mention the answer of “how many presets of that type are there?” is “Somewhere in the 200-400 range”.

Really Halion is a sound design and sampling monster workstation. The presets don’t do it justice, so as a content purchase, if you want a LOT OF PRESETS I would go right to Absolute 6.

There is some freely available user content for Halion as well if you want it. Personally I think Halion is worth the price for its sampling and synthesis features alone, and the presets are a bonus.

I highly recommend doing the trial, as the demos available online don’t do this thing justice.

Right now I have an 4 program drum, bass, guitars and keys (both set up for some chord vamping) multi set up which is pretty much a whole backing band playing along with me when I press a couple notes. What’s better than a lot of things like this is that I can tweak this little backing band to my heart’s delight. Halion takes a comittment to learn. It’s deep. It’s kind of like having a Korg Triton or a Yamaha Montage in a vst.

Hi. If possible, I’m simply looking for a list of included Sample Libraries.

FWIW, I was a b-tester for OG Halion… up to V3, which I still use to this day. Just never upgraded so I have no idea what the included content might be.

TIA.

Maybe this can help? Expand Instruments (i know, quite a poor list, but I can’t find anything better…)

OR you can download the User manual and have a look at the Included Instruments chapter (page 343 onward)

This?

Thank you.

What guitars are included in Halion 7 ?

The guitars are not very good, I’d go elsewhere. The basses, on the other hand, are very good.

How about some Halion content jokes to brighten the day! :joy:

HALion sounds are so bad…my DAW asked if it could take a break just so it wouldn’t have to listen.

HALion sounds are so bad…I thought my speakers were broken, but they were just crying.

HALion sounds are so bad…they released an update—called silence!

Ok…just one more. :joy: :innocent:

HALion sounds are so bad… even my fridge hums in a better key!
