Can´t eject external hard drive

Hi

Ever since I used N8, I can´t eject my external Hard Drive that was used by Nuendo. It gives me this message:
" The disk “xxx” couldn´t be ejected because “Nuendo” is using it. Quit that aplication and try to eject the disk again."

How can I eject my HD without quitting the Nuendo?

I think if you plug in the Hdrive “after” you’ve loaded Nuendo, then you can unmount it, while Nuendo is Loaded !

Couldn’t you backup the open project onto an internal partition, then on restart open the backup and keep working ?
Not sure if I understood your Q correctly

It´s for day to day basis. It´s a real drag to quit Nuendo when I need to use the HD in another computer for example
