Hello everyone, hope someone can help me on this,
I´m doing a collab project, and I’ve made a kit in GROOVE AGENT SE(5) with my own samples, i need to send this GA KIT to the other person to be used in his cubase cpr.
this should be easy, just need to export kit with samples on GROOVE A send it over, and Load the Kit, in his project, but no… just doesn’t work like that. I tried to put the vst.preset and the samples ( Kit) in every possible directory of Cubase, and i just can find and open the KIT on other system (pc or mac). btw media bay it’s not seeing the vst.preset wherever the location is… I tried all the Steinberg folders and subfolders(i guess) and paths where vst.presets are… its very strange, btw im on windows, and the other party, are in Osx, still. the kits should work as the extensions are vst.preset on both. also i work on both environments Pc and Mac. trying to migrate the kits from pc to mac.
thanks in advance !
On Windows the preset should be in:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\Groove Agent SE
Stash the samples where you want, and it should ask for their location when you first try to use the preset.

SOLVED, the issue was Gonne with the latest updates, i don’t know why but after updating steinberg download Manager and activation, the vst.preset finally appeared on Groove Agent. thanks for the reply!
Yeah, I’ve learned over time to always reboot after taking updates from Steinberg Download Assistant.
Reason being, the possibility that they’ve changed the Media Server. A reboot helps insure any older instances of that running in the background shut down, and hopefully you’re up to date when the system boots back up.
Also after updates/upgrades/new Steinberg installations:
on slower systems…sometimes I get in a habit of starting Cubase, or HALion, or Sonic and just letting it sit there and warm up for a bit before I dive in. MediaSever lurks scanning for new or updated content.
