Can USB E-licence be transferred to the current licencing system

I have been scanning the forum but getting more confused about interworking between the USB e-licence and the current system:-

1 Can the USB E-licence be transferred to the current system so that I don’t need to use the USB dongle any more? I want to keep Cubase SE working.
2 I have Cubase SE and 14 pro working on my Windows 11 pc laptop with the dongle in place but when I try to instal SE to my studio desktop windows 11 pc the installation fails and locks the pc up until I hit cnt, alt, del. It seems to be trying to copy steinberg fonts. Anyone have any ideas as to what can cause this.
3 - Is it beyond science to add an option to import previous versions of cubase files or is there a 3rd party app that can do file transfers/conversions.

I just used chatgpt and it provided some excellent answers including confirmation that USB e-licences for older versions of cubase such as SE3 are not transferable to the current system. It also recommended some 3rd party options and also gave a brilliant selection of options for fault finding the installation onto my desktop pc.

This, indeed, is not possible.

This is actually how it works. Especially project files created with SE3 can be imported into Pro14. Which kind of file does not work?

Hi. My files are from before SE3 - The recommended option is to install SE3 to import previous file types and then export them from SE3 to a format that is recognised by Pro14.
