Can we do something about these "Attention Shifts?"

This focused attention crap is driving me nuts!

  1. I’m ON A TRACK.
  2. I copy an event on THAT track.
  3. I paste said event copy on THAT track.
  4. N10 creates a new track with that copied event, WTH?

Why do I have to keep refocusing the attention to a track I’m already working on? This is nuts! Why is it working like this?
