Can we get SpectraLayer modules as a separate version?

I’m really interested in just the unmixing features of SpectraLayers, but it’s unfortunate that only the full version has the ability to unmix more than just the vocals (a feature which is included in Cubase’s version of SpectraLayers). I tried out the trial version of SL Pro recently and though I am interested in it (for music-studying purposes), I can’t justify the cost of it especially when it’s really not that good at what it does.

In fact, for nearly half the price of SL Pro, FL Studio can unmix stems and does a better job at separating the percussion from the other elements (often SL would leave tons of the other instruments in with the drums) - though it lacks the ability to mix instruments at all.

Anyway, to get to the point - I was hoping to put in a request where we could just buy the unmix modules (such that they work with the Cubase version of SL) at some point in the future, at a reduced rate.

Better yet, how bout adding them directly to Cubase? :smile:

I think it´s fairly priced, you have to remember that unmixing song is only about 10 % of the software´s use case, it´s more spectral editor than audio stem separator.

Yeah, that’s kind of my point. Why should I pay $300 when I only want 10% of the program’s capabilities?

There are other solutions for separating without spectral editing, if that’s what youre looking.. UVR is free with additional models to download. Gets regular updates and new models and has really helpful people at their discord channel

I’ll look into it, but would prefer to have something built into Cubase~
