I’m looking for a way to automate the stem export since I always follow the same pattern.
I want to export all tracks and instrument channels with a few exceptions:
No FX channels since I export the FX with the stem directly
No tracks or instrument channels that are routed through a group track since I export the group instead.
I tried to do that by selecting all tracks and then deselecting the FX tracks via the logical editor which works, but I can’t figure out how to deselect all tracks that are going through a group track.
Is there a way to do this, or do I have to select my channels manually?
Assuming everything ultimately ends up at your stereo output:… In the mixer, right click on your stereo out and go to visibilty agents and clcik "show channels connected to first selected channel. This will keep your groups visible because they are connected directly to the output. But it will hide all your audio tracks feeding the groups because they aren’t directly connected to the stereo output. Then select them all in the mixer. Then in the export dialog click the “sync selection to track selection” in the selection panel. Then export!
