I usually use “non vib.” as a playing technique. However, when I also choose/add sul ponticello or sul tasto, I can’t seem to hear any difference. It all sounds the same to me.
What are your experiences? Any advice?
Thanks

I don’t believe NP includes those in its capabilities. If you plan to do a lot of playback with those techniques, looking into other third-party string libraries would be necessary. I’m sure others will come along with (many) specific sample-library recommendations.
Ok if NP don’t, that makes much more sense. But both are mentioned in the “articulations” in the NP manual, though?
Ok interesting, are they available also when “non vib.” is selected?
And should I do anything to make it audible (besides checking my ears)?
If you open the key editor, you will see which playing techniques are applied to each note.
I found it, thanks Vadian
Thanks Janus, is this what you mean?
If all is set correctly and the two different articulations are almost inaudible (for me), is there a way to “increase the effect”?
Thanks Janus, does it look right now? Still not really audible for me.

Not that I know.
Ok, thanks Janus.
Strange though, many other articulations/playing techniques are very audible to me. But off course some of them are not subtle when played by musicians and sul ponticello can sound subtle. But sometimes very audible.
Glad to know I was wrong about this! These are such core playing techniques.
