How can you split a stereo file into its left and right channels separately? There was a post here from ages ago so I wonder if this is now possible like in other daws.

Yeah, I recorded guitar with multiple mics and so I had many 4 channel wav files on single tracks. I deliberately recorded them as a single track to make comping easier! But, the only way to split finally for the mix was to re-import them as per the link given and tick the ‘split’ option.
Steinberg, how about a small feature to split multi-track audio files into mono files/tracks?

If you’ve already imported your stereo track you can export to separate tracks:
Be sure the track is soloed and the Name, Path and Sample rates are set properly.
