Can you use Mac's Line-In Port

I’m doing some rough demo stuff on my Mac laptop. When I select Built-In Audio as my Asio driver, it does not allow me to use the Line-in port on MacBook Pro where I have an analog condenser hooked up (it defaults to the built-in mic on the laptop… cough).

Is there a way to use the Line-in port?

I had to do the same thing when I needed to record a board mix on short notice. Under System Prefs on the Mac, go to Sound>Input>select line input.

That should replace the mic as the input to the workstation.

You might need to configure an aggregate device as an audio I/O interface.
