Cancel flz. without cancelling mute

I am struggling to understand how to cancel flz. in the following example without also cancelling mute. The instruments are Tpt. Flug. Tpt. 2 and Tbn. If I add nat. in bar 76, this cancels flz. and mute.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Easy solution: add hidden technique instructions…

If one marks flutter-tongue on multiple notes, I thought flz. only affected the note it was on. Especially on longer passages, I’d mark only the first note flz. and add tremolo bars to the notes affected.

Hi Derek,

Thanks for your help, and apologies for this delayed response.

It seems the playing techniques flz. and f.t. persist and have to be cancelled, much like mute and open. Your suggestion makes the intention clear to the performer, but hidden nat. and straight mute playing techniques need to added to the next entry to achieve the expected playback.

All’s well that ends well
