Cannot connect Input Alesis Multimix 4 USB FX to Cubase 8

Hi,
I am trying to connect my Multimix 4 USB FX to Cubase 8. The output is picking up the right Audio Device USB Audio Codec but the Input is not picking it up (see also screenshots). I have tried everything I could think of with no luck. Has anybody got an idea how to get the input going? Cheers, Simone

And what exactly is “everything you could think of”? :unamused:
Usually you simply select the device port - explained clearly in the manual.

It gives me the option of the device in the drop down but it doesn’t pick it up when I click on it. I have switched everything off and on again, I cannot find the reason why it wouldn’t pick it up. The only thing that sprang into my mind was that I am using a USB connection to the Alesis that is of lower quality?
