Cannot enter multiple notes at same rhythmic position

I have a piano on a grand staff. Doricio won’t let me enter multiple notes, like a chord, at the same rhythmic position. I enter one note, then try to enter another note at the same position in time, stacked vertically. When I enter the second note the first one disappears. Any thoughts?

How are you entering the notes? Presumably you are not using a MIDI keyboard; so are you typing note names from the computer keyboard or using the mouse?
