Cannot open Dorico Pro 5

I have not opened Dorico for a long time. (I came over to Steinberg from a Finale account. I’m on Windows 11.) I have updated my email address on my Steinberg account. I have singed out on Steinberg activation and signed in again with the new email address. And I clicked on the Activate button. But now when I try to open Dorico through Steinberg Activation the screen lists Dorico as Activated but when I click on Dorico Pro 5 nothing happens. Task Manager only shows Steinberg Activation running. What might be going on?

Welcome to the forum @RonDenver .
There is nothing happening at all when you try to launch Dorico?
There is no message box popping up saying that you have no valid license or so?
Have you tried rebooting your machine?

In a File Explorer window type into the address bar
%appdata%\Steinberg
and hit the return/enter key which then will jump to a certain location.
Please zip up everything that is in that folder and send the zip to u dot stoermer at steinberg dot de
Thanks

Hi @RonDenver , thanks for the data.
I forwarded the lot to someone in our team who knows a bit more about the licensing system than me.
We will get back to you asap.
Thank you for your patience.

Hi Ron,

How are you actually trying to run Dorico? It sounds from your post as though you might be trying to launch Dorico from within the Steinberg Activation Manager. If so that’s not right - the Steinberg Activation Manager is just used to set up your licences, you’ll need to run Dorico using Windows’ Start menu or something similar.

Thanks, Richard – that’s the issue! (Like I said in my post, it’s been a while since I’ve opened this!)

Ron

Hi @RonDenver,
so you have Dorico up and running again now, correct?

Yes I do. I appreciate the help - great support! Thanks!
