I bought Cubase Artist 10.5 several years ago (complete with a USB e Licenser) and upgraded to Cubase 11 somewhere in 2021 I think.Last week I bought the upgrade to Cubase Elements 14 but I cannot get it registrated. I get an activation code but I get problems with the eLicenser ‘No License to Upgrade selectable’. What do I have to do?
I made a support ticket at Steinberg but I don’t get a response from them…
How did you do that? As far as I can see there is no way of getting a lower release than what you have.
You have Artist 11, so your update can be Artist 14 or Pro 14. Elements is a lower release.
Cubase Elements only allows updates and upgrades from Cubase AI, Cubase LE and Cubase Elements versions, not Cubase Artist. Unfortunately I think you have wasted money on the Cubase Elements upgrade and need to purchase a full version of Cubase Elements.
Cubase Elements is a lower version than Artist. So be sure to double check the features comparison list to make sure you are purchasing the correct version of Cubase that you want.

As you have Cubase Artist 11 you either upgrade to Artist 14 for the same features or you buy the less fully featured Elements 14 full version.
