Hi,

I installed “midiMonitor.vst” and whitelisted in VST Plugins.

However, when It doesn’t show in channel strip inserts! I have restarted my iMac.

What am I doing wrong here, please?

From the diagnostics that you attached in another thread I can see that midiMonitor is on the blacklist, so the audio engine identified it as bad and won’t load it anymore. The reason why it is put on the blacklist, I can’t tell you straight away. One reason could be, that it is a 32bit plug-in. Dorico only hosts 64bit plugs.

So you mean I cannot whitelist any 32-bit? if not, what should I do, please?

You should use a 64-bit VST plug-in instead.

@dspreadbury Thanks. Is there a way to tell whether a plugin is 32-bit or not?

I dumped MidiMonitor.vst plugin ( It could be 32-bit VST2) in the plugin folder and I whitelisted it. Probably, that is why it doesn’t show in Dorico.

On Mac, you can do Get Info (Command+I) on the VST plug-in file itself in /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/ and look at the Kind read-out: it will say VST plug-in (32-bit) if it is a 32-bit plug-in.
