Can't change playing technique continuation type

Hi all. I’m having an issue where I’m unable to the change the continuation type for the “+” and “o” except for ONLY in the first instance of the “+” technique on only one staff. Any ideas?

This instance of the technique allows me to change the continuation type…

but this one doesn’t, even though they’re the same playing technique

If you group the Playing Techniques (right-click, PT… ) lines will appear and adjust automatically. For isolated PTs you must activate its extension by doing alt-shift-rightarrow and the Continuation type field will appear…
