Hi @stonetung5, and welcome to the Forum!
Probably because you are not using Dorico Pro?
Hi! Ah right, is condensing not an option for the edu version?
This doesn’t have to do with edu (that gives a discount on purchasing) but with the Version itself:
Dorico SE (condensing: no)
Dorico Elements (condensing: no)
Dorico Pro (condensing: yes)
Which version did you purchased?
Weird, I have purchased Dorico Pro and have just double checked it, but the version I’m using is Elements… any suggestions?
Did you use the redeem code that you received after purchasing, in the Steinberg Download Assistent? What does say the Steinberg Activation Manager?
Fixed it somehow! Thanks!
Glad you sorted it out
Just looking down the left side of your screenshot, you seem to have put each pair of instruments you’d like condensed into a single player. Each Flute, each Clarinet, each Bassoon and each Horn should be held by a separate player, as in a real human orchestra. Of course each player can hold multiple instruments (e.g. Flute and Piccolo, Oboe and Cor Anglais), though you can typically only expect each player to play one instrument at a time.
