Can't find data (notes) Key Editor

I’m on a MAC running 10.7.4 and Cubase 6.5.2
On some VST Instrument tracks (or parts of them)…when I open the Key Editor by double clicking on the midi data in the channel. I don’t see ANY notes or info in Key Editor. Sometimes there will be a bit of information. I scroll all over but don’t see anything. Do I need to click on something? I can hear the notes being trigerred when I hit play.

Presuming that the notes are simply off-screen, you can locate the first event in two key commands…

  1. CMD+A, to Select All
  2. L, to Locate Selection Start.

You would think that would be done automatically upon opening. Small potatoes, I know…
