The folder which it is the “ssdsampler.dll” is added in the plugin manager (C:/program files/steinberg/vstplugins) and recognize it all my plugins and VSTi except this (Steven Slate Drums 4).
In Cubase 7 works fine. I don’t know what I have to do at this point,
Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Even re-installing SSD4 in a different folder.
Before I had in Steinberg/VSTPlugins folder
Now is reinstalled in Steinberg/Cubase 8/VSTPlugins.
Then, I start Cubase (load screen) and says at the bottom of the screen:
“Initializing: VST 2.x Plugin → SsdSampler”
And Cubase get stucked at this point and doesn’t continue. (I’ve been waiting for more than 30 minutes)

Strange, this just happened to me as well and I just completed a project with SSD4 last week, all of a sudden it could not be found:( CB7 it works fine.
I resolved by running the SsdSampler.dll through JBridge, I know it’s was 64bit to begin with, but this did the trick for me.
