I have reinstalled The Grand 3 to try to fix this, but it hasn’t solved the problem.
The Grand 3 runs fine as a VST instrument in Cubase 13 Pro, but I can’t find how to run the standalone version. I used to use it for playing through piano pieces without opening Cubase, but (not having used it for a long time) today I just can’t find “The Grand 3.exe” anywhere in my program files, or even in my hard disk listings. Has the standalone version been discontinued? Or is there a way to get it back?
I’m very pleased (and relieved) to be able to say that I have solved the problem. The solution is now of course blindingly obvious, but that’s easy after the event.
In case anyone has the same problem, all I had to do was to completely uninstall The Grand, and then reinstall it. I have no idea why the previous installation disappeared, but at least it has been repaired.
