Any one know how to can’t import old cubase .all files?

…and further to the link that Fabio has provided (and I can add that this method does work), it’s important to get the right version to go with your current Cubase license (unles you have Cubase Pro).

If you have Cubase Pro you can use any of them (but SX is the top spec so I’d suggest that). If you have Cubase Artist you can only use SL or SE and if you have Elements you can only use SE.

At the time I did my conversions I had Cubase Artist and tried to install and use SX which wouldn’t run…only after trawling the forum did I find out why.

I downloaded the LE 30 day trial, since the 20 compositions, .all file type, were written many many years ago on a defunct PC, to a new PC to do this task. As mentioned above it says that I need to install old SX 3 and SE 3. I tried all of them but SX and SE do not recognize the trial 30 day licence for LE.

So what can I do now?

I no longer have the usb stick license, have an old xp. The toronto support person said that I’d have to find someone in the fourm who could do it for a price.

I just sent you an email and I have recently completed over 50 .all conversions of older song files. I am near Toronto in Port Hope. - Scotty

I’m a Nuendo 6 user, anybody knows if it’d allow me to use SX3 ? I have at least 100 tracks to convert…

Looks like nobody knows…or at least no-one who knows is reading…it’s a pretty straight forward download and installation so I’d give it a go if I were you. You’ll find out straight away if it doesn’t work.

Hi,

according to what I see here, you can only open SX 3 with a Nuendo 3.x license.
Any higher or lower version won’t work, unfortunately.

Thank you Fabio. But does this mean I can’t open SX3 with a Nuendo 6 License ? Cause it is all I have now. My Nuendo 3 license has been taken away by Mr Elicenser…
I’ll try it anyway. I’ll post the result.
