It seems like everyone manage to insert text/lyrics in OmniVocal beta but not me. When I choose OmnivVocal från Instrument meny everything is ok. I record and see the notes in key editor. But when I dubbelklick on the track, then the common key editor appears, not the OmniVocal key editor. Why?
There’s no “Omnivocal Editor.” What was added is a “text” field in the event inspector and editor and that’s where you put your lyrics on. And that field appears in every single key editor window. Here’s a Halion Sonic instance with it:
The text must be entered in the key editor. Select the note and enter/paste the text in the “Text” field in the info line. Multiple words are automatically distributed across the following notes.
There is no Omnivocal editor. The regular Key editor is the correct place. In the Info Line there should be a “Text” field. If you can’t see it, it is either hidden or your screen is too narrow. In the latter case try closing the left or right zone to temporarily give the editor more horizontal space.
If the field is still hidden, right click on the Info Line of the Key Editor and turn it on there.
Actually, you might not see the „Text“ field because of your screen size. It’s definitely there. Try opening the editor in a separate window (the up arrow icon).
In order to have the text field appear regardless of it being visible on your screen or not, you have to click on a note. The text field is a note based property.
Thank you, guys. As Kai_Schwirzke wrote, I had to separate the editor to see the text field, because I couldn’t read more than “Voice” to the right. Now it is solved. Thanks! /Lars
