Yet another thought, did you try install the 32bit version just to see if you could get it to work, obviously you don’t want to stick with that, but IF it worked it might give some clues…

was just the win7 sp1 missing .was not a fan of it and until now never installed idt -
mow i should be able to get back to writing …

After 3 days of endless agony you finally saved my soul.
Win 7 64bit only works with Service Pack 1 installed.
It’s not required for the 32bit version.
