Can't save or load EQ presets

I suspect it’s a reference to the interface of the Steinberg Frequency EQ plugin.

Ah, probably - I don’t use that EQ and thought he meant the default strip EQ “frequency display.” Both still work for me on Cubendo 14.0.20 and N13.0.51, but good call

Yes, it is a reference to the UI of the Frequency plugin. As you can see in this screenshot, my custom “Timo low cut.vstpreset” doesn’t show up:

When I double-click the .vstpreset file in the Windows explorer, it doesn’t even have an app associated with it, and either way, that’s not a viable way for me to manage my custom presets. But as you can see here, the file exists, presumably in the correct location:

Any ideas what could be wrong here?

If it’s not there when you search for it either, then I’ll presume it also doesn’t show up in the Media Rack or Bay. Specifically testing the Frequency plug-in, mine behaves as expected, so you may want to reset your Media Bay altogether. I can find mine instantly in all places.

Regarding the associated app launch of the .vstpreset file, I would expect that behavior - I wouldn’t expect your OS to launch Cubase and “find” the associated component for that preset.

I figured it out - for some reason, Media Bay points to the VST3 Presets folder in my OneDrive Documents directory, instead of the local Documents directory.

I don’t want that - how can I tell Media Bay that it should use the local Documents folder instead?

For now, I just copied the preset in question to the OneDrive Documents directory and that fixed it, but that’s only a workaround for now. I hate how OneDrive forces itself into everything

I think you’d just add the appropriate directory you want in Media Bay, and uncheck the one you don’t. You can configure OneDrive to use whatever folders you want, including just making “backups” of your MyDocuments, so that would depend on how you’ve configured it. I’m not the best resource for personal Windows usage like that
