I’m a bit confused, not shure if I’m doing something wrong or simply don’t understand. When inputting the bass drum /having selected a note length of a crotchet) the caret doesn’t jump to the next quater beat.

Presumably because it’s in the same Voice as the tuplet notes.
I also noticed this a long time ago with tuplets - dorico is counting 4 sixteenths for the quarter. It’s just that the last two are part of a triplet
