Hi @Robin_Lobel , today I accidentally clicked on the clip gain button on a layer and instantly got a cascading crash, as you can see on the attached image.
I had crashes before when clicking on clip gain on an unmixed layer, but never cascading like today.
I’m on latest SL, latest Nuendo and latest Win11.
I must say, using SL within Nuendo has been a major pain in the ass. We need to figure out a different integration, because ARA2 SUCKS.
Spectralayers doesn’t deserve to get a bad reputation because of this unfortunately very precariously implemented interface. (ARA)

Another accidental click, another “cascading crash”.
=(
Hi @henrique_staino what do you mean exactly by “the clip gain button” ? Can you screenshot ?
Is there by chance a corresponding crash dump file (Documents folder/Steinberg/CrashDumps)

Hey @Robin_Lobel thanks for chiming in!
I meant the “envelope” button, sorry.
Ooops I forgot about the crash dump, sorry.
The good (or bad?) news is that in my home studio laptop I got the same crash, following the same procedure, and here is the crash dump from this time.
Nuendo 13.0.41 64bit2024.9.6 7.03.04.423.dmp (3.2 MB)
Hope it helps!
Thanks again!

@henrique_staino Ah, yes it’s a known issue from 11.0.20 - there’s a fix already implemented in the upcoming patch.
Meanwhile give build 383 a try (Windows/macOS), and let me know if you still have ARA instabilities.

Wow, having used this build a little, it seems to me that it is A LOT more stable, fast, and reliable! I had no crashes, and unmixing seems to work when saving and closing a session, whereas in the previous build it would always require a removal and re-application of the extension.
One thing I have noticed though, is that in this build, applying SL on a clip makes it sound like some 20dB louder. But this increase in volume is on playback, it is not rendered when making the extension permanent.
(I have checked the main output in SL and it remains at 0dB)
Thanks a lot!
P.s.: For the guy asking about SL to make the leap from RX, this right here for me is one of the things I find best about using SL. It is a marvel of a software in terms of capability, and I know it will only get better, but @Robin_Lobel 's attention to us and our needs is really unrivalled.
