CB 14 Substitute for Mackie control

Hi
I use a Roland FA08 as my keyboard controller. It’s not the slickest controller, but does have 8 knobs/buttons that still can be used with Cubase 14. But the main buttons I use the ones for transport controls - which are not recognized in 14.
Any ideas as a work around?

Do the buttons send any MIDI Message? What kind of?

I noticed that Cubase does show activity when I press any of the transport buttons. But I’m not sure what cc numbers they are. All the transport buttons work in Cubase 13. I have pictures showing the settings for Cubase 13 but haven’t figured out how to attach them.

If it works in C13, it’s also working in C14. Is the setup the same?

Don’t you use any MIDI Remote in C14? Isn’t MIDI Remote MIDI Port active? What about the Quick Controls? Isn’t the MIDI Input Port of any Quick Control type set to All MIDI Inputs?

Yes to all. But for some unknown reason the transport buttons are not acknowledged.

Hi,

If the MIDI Port is in use for MIDI Remote, the MIDI Messages for the Transport might be stolen by the MIDI Remote.

If the Quick Controls are using All MIDI Inputs, the MIDI Messages might be stolen by Quick Controls.
