CD Text Oddity

It’s probably the least important thing ever, but I found if you have all empty Performer fields in the CD Text in Wavelab, Wavelab will also make the fields empty on the CD and DDP, as expected. But if you have some Performer fields empty, some not empty, Wavelab will add a space character to the empty ones on the CD and DDP. I think it’s probably been this way forever, so I’m not going to worry about it too much, but I wonder if this is common. I think it’s the same for the other CD Text fields too. I don’t think it adversely affects display, at least in any players I’ve tried.

Would be time consuming to check this, but this is certainly a consequence of the CD-Text encoding, ie. the way the CD Text is stored on the CD.

Thanks PG. I first noticed it when reading back during the end process of making a DDP. So I made a CD and imported that and got the same thing. The screenshots are Wavelab 8, but the same thing happens in Wavelab 9.
