I have Dorico 5 SE. Is the menu option Edit → Notations → Staff → Change Divisi… available in Elements or Pro?
When I click the padlock, it shows a popup that suggests upgrading to Elements. But looking at the comparison matrix, it appears that “Divisi for divided string sections” is only for Pro. Is this correct or is “Change Divisi…” something else that is in fact available in Elements ?
Hi @eriksan, to create/edit Divisi subdivisions staves you need Dorico Pro. But if you open a file that contains already Divisi (created in Dorico Pro) from Dorico Elements or Dorico SE, you can visualise correctly the Divisi and edit the music on that staves (but not edit the Divisi itself, or as the menu says “change” the divisi)

Thanks for pointing this out, @eriksan. The Change Divisi menu item shouldn’t appear in Dorico SE, because it isn’t enabled by upgrading to Dorico Elements. I’ll make sure this gets fixed.

Hi @dspreadbury , maybe is a crazy idea, but there is perhaps the possibility to map the locked menu items, so that they point to different upgrade options?: in SE the locked menus, that would be accessible upgrading from SE to Elements, could point, if clicked, to the Element upgrade, and the menus that would be accessible only upgrading from SE to Pro, could point to the Pro upgrade.
This is because, If the SE user doesn’t see at all the Change divisi… locked menu for example, then it will not know about (or be curious to discover) that functionality. (but of course the 60 days trial is also a very good option to satisfy that curiosity…)
(just a thought…)
