Change key for a selections of measure and have notes automatically corrected

If I have a song written and then wish to change the key for either the entire song or a selected set of measures, will Dorico move the notes as needed for the new key. As a simple example, if I’m in the key of C and there are onely the C notes, when I change those measures to the key of Bb will all of the C notes notw be asjusted by Dorico to be Bb?

I tried doing this and the notes were not changed.

How did you change this? Did you use the Transpose dialog?

No, I wasn’t aware of the Transpose dialog since I didn’t think of “transpose”. I had selected a group of measures and tried selecitng a different key signature, but nothing happened. Once again, knowing the correct words/description makes it possible to find solutions. I’m not clear about what all of the options in the transpose window mean or what affect they will have (is there a video about this?), but I can experimet and figure out at least some of it. I finally did the right steps to transpose the key of an entire song. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Bob,
Dorico is very clear and logical here:
if you want to change the key signature, it will just do that (change the key signature).
If you want to transpose your music up or down or from one key signature to another one, you will have to transpose your music (up or down or from the existing key signature into another one).
By the way, in the Transpose dialogue you can specify, whether to also transpose the key signature.
