Change "m" symbol (from minor chord)

Hi,

I want to change the “m” symbol to the “m” symbol of Petaluma. How can I do it?

It’s a bit complicated, but it can be done.

  1. Choose Library > Chord Symbols.
  2. In the box at the top left, type e.g. “Am” so you have a minor chord to work with.
  3. On the right-hand side, select the “m” component in the preview area.
  4. Notice that you will see multiple appearances in the row of components below the main preview area, and one of them is highlighted. That’s the one being used in the chord symbol you’re looking at. Click the pencil icon below that row of components to edit the selected component.
  5. In the dialog that appears, select the “m” component and delete it.
  6. Switch to the Text tab on the right-hand side, and choose Petaluma Script from the Font drop-down.
  7. In the box at the bottom, type m and click Add Text.
  8. Confirm this dialog, and you should now see the Petaluma Script “m” in the chord symbol you were looking at before.
  9. Click OK to confirm this dialog as well.

Now, in every chord symbol where that lower-case “m” should be used, the Petaluma Script “m” will be used.

That’s super easy!!!

I was looking for the symbol of “m” separately, instead of focusing on the fact that the “m” was a normal letter in Petaluma…

Thanks a lot!!
