Change Stem direction in Cue does not work

Hi
I tried to chang the stem direction in a Cue in the Drum which comes from the Bass. Changing it in the property panel has no effect an the cmd for flipping stems (F) does also not work and a right click does not show the context menu
Please Help
thank you very much

Hey! Could you switch on voice colors, please? That would allow to see which voice the original music in the bass uses…

Hi, Thank you
Here the coolers

Do I have to change in the Voices something ?

When I put in a SD note the stems change direction

Do I have to change something in the percussion map or so ?

I’m sorry, I didn’t have time to reply…
Is there supposed to be notation in the drums?
Maybe a slash region, try that and see if the stems flip!

I also do not quite understand where the small slashes in your cue come from, since you didn’t check the option for “Use Rhythmic Slashes” in the cue properties… But that’s secondary!

no problem , yes that worked, so cues in a empty Bar does not work correctly because I can not change stem direction in the property panel , is that right ?

I would need to try, give me a few minutes…

I took the cue from the Bass , because I want the Drummer to know what the Bassist is doing

Of course!

cue stems

What it looks like is, if all the notes of the source staff are in the same voice, then the stems all go up, no matter which voice!
Seems Dorico wants to preserve voice display as much as possible, so that the cued player sees the same voice setup as the source player. Makes sense? Check if the bass player has notes in a different voice, please! :+1:

B.

Thank you very much, as you can see above in the third picture the bass has all note in the blue voice but it does not work like your example, I have to play around a little to find out what happens on my side

Yeah, but maybe there is a note somewhere else not in the range of the cue that causes this? I didn’t try that, actually…

I have Dorico 5.1.81

ah ok here the Bass Part

Bass part looks all good to me. Maybe it’s an issue with cueing into a drum staff, but I’m at my wit’s end here…
But, it works now, doesn’t it?
