Change stem?

I was looking for a way to change the stem to a wiggle line (to indicate that piano strings have to be “scratched” with a fingernail). But so far I’ve only found ways to hide stems. So I wonder if it is at all possible to change the look of a stem?

No, at the present time it is not possible to change the design of stems.

So at the moment there is no way to use the Smufl stems as seen on Browse the glyphs | SMuFL?

Correct. You can change one of the tremolo music symbols via Library > Music Symbols if you don’t need it in your project, but there’s no support at present for arbitrary stem decorations.
