Change time signature in the middle of a bar

Is this possible? For example, Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 32 in C minor, Mov’t 2 (L’istesso tempo)

Just select the position of the measure you want to split and add a time signature change with ctrl + m (6/16,2)

I assume that you don’t want a barline immediately before or after the 6/16 time signature. In the example below, the barline before this time signature is a tick barline with the Tick adj. property activated with Out and In set to -1/2 in engrave mode. The larger problem is that the hidden barline is also where a repeated section begins. After creating the repeat endings in the second system of the example below, the end repeat barline was replaced with a final barline and the repeat dots were created with system text using the character repeatDots (U+E043). To obtain proper playback of the repeated section without real start or end repeat barlines, a hidden D.S. was added at the start of the second ending and a hidden Segno was added immediately after the 6/16 time signature:
