Changing a selected midi note with midi keyboard?

Hey all,

I’m new to Cubase and I have a question: After I played a line with my midi keyboard and enter the midi editor to change an individual note, my method is to click it with the mouse and drag it up or down the piano roll.

Is there a way to change a selected midi note with my midi keyboard? For example, I click the midi note and press a C4 on my piano and it automatically puts the selected midi note there? Dragging the notes up and down the piano roll can get really tiring, after some time, especially since it’s so finnicky.

Yes, by activating MIDI Input in the toolbar, see Key Editor Toolbar

Thanks, that did it! The Step Input option was hidden, I had to make it visible at first.
