Changing a source file to one that already exists

I want to change all occurrences of one source file to a different source file. But when I make the change in the Files tab, it says the new file already exists in the project (which it does), and won’t make the change.

I’d change the source file in the individual clips - but I can’t because they are entirely covered by other clips (see separate topic!)…

Any suggestions?

This case has not be considered before (but I agree it should).

Yeah, I can think of several instances where that would’ve saved me some time too - would be a nice addition!
